ABOUT
Pearl Clapp is a self-taught artist from Southern Ontario.
Pearl is currently beginning her 30s back in rural Ontario after spending most of her 20s in Toronto & Kingston.
Pearl started tattooing when she was 18 years old at a street shop in Kingston, Ontario. Initially doing walk-ins while developing a personal style, or more accurately, styles plural, on the side.
She feels that she’s found her stride with her current “sketchbook” style under the name mayapplecellrip.
Obsessed with the little details and gaining a new appreciation for the bigger picture, Pearl is in the midst of a style breakdown and an artistic revival.
As well as tattooing, Pearl works in a variety of mediums including stained glass, paint, sculpture, sewing & embroidery.
